 Job Description:  We are seeking a dynamic and multifaceted Warehouse Associate to join our Winnipeg based team.  Reporting to the Foreman, the warehouse associate has forklift operating experience, a can-do attitude and ability adapt to change.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Loads/unloads trucks and sea cans of interior finishing building materials by forklift
  • Exercises care and attention to avoid damaging product
  • Safely operates forklifts with carrying capacities up 10,000 lbs
  • Manually staging lumber/sheet goods orders
  • Picking orders and rolling Formica sheets for easy transport
  • Completing waybills and filling out paperwork accurately
  • Accurately shipping/receiving outgoing/incoming products
  • Properly labels and stages newly received product
  • Cleans and organizes work space
  • Assists during inventory counts
  • Exceptional customer service skills required and good business etiquette

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Minimum 1 year in a warehouse environment is required
  • Valid forklift operator certificate is considered an asset or willing to get certified
  • Intermediate computer experience is an asset but not required
  • Ability to lift by hand up to 100 lbs is required
  • Regularly required to walk; stand; sit; climb ladders with the ability to kneel, bend, squat, push, pull and reach above and below the waist
  • Self-motivated and driven to continuously improve and add value to the organization
  • Reliability and punctuality is a must
  • Must be entitled to work in Canada
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Excellent numeracy skills required
  • Regular operation hours are Monday-Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm. However, some over time hours may be required

LAMINATE TEAM-LEAD ASSOCIATE – LANGLEY -

Job Description: We are seeking an experienced and multifaceted Laminate Team-Lead Associate to join our Vancouver (Langley) based team. Reporting to the Warehouse Foreman, the ideal candidate would have strong leadership skills, a can-do attitude and ability adapt to change.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manually receiving and staging weekly laminate orders
  • Picking orders and rolling laminate sheets for easy transport
  • Completing waybills and filling out paperwork accurately and in a timely manner
  • Selecting best carrier option for delivery and setting up carrier pick ups
  • Proper labeling and organization of newly received product; making sure all laminate is stored correctly, kept clean and damage is kept to a minimum
  • Communicating regularly with customers, coworkers, couriers
  • Responsible for keeping laminate area clean, neat and well organized; this includes sweeping and garbage removal
  • Ability to organize and understand the different grades and colors of laminates; similar responsibilities with regards to glue and edge tape
  • Previous experience with inventory counts is an asset
  • Leads the laminate area; able to coordinate work for her/him self and others
  • Other warehouse responsibilities as needed

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • 2 to 3 years of experience in a fast-paced warehouse environment is required
  • Strong leadership skills are required; able to work alone as well as working with a team as team-lead
  • Forklift driving experience considered an asset but not required
  • Ability to lifting by hand up to 60 lbs is required
  • Regularly required to walk; stand; sit; climb ladders with the ability to kneel, bend, squat, push, pull and reach above and below the waist
  • Self-motivated and driven to continuously improve and add value to the organization
  • Reliability and punctuality is a must
  • Regular operation hours are Monday-Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm. However, some over time hours may be required
  • Working knowledge of good OH&S practices is considered an asset
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Excellent numeracy skills required
  • Must be eligible to work in Canada
