Job Description:

We are seeking a dynamic multifaceted Warehouse Associate to join our Winnipeg based team.  As a warehouse associate, you’ll work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. Reporting to the Warehouse Foreman, the warehouse associate has forklift operating experience and a can-do attitude and ability adapt to change and is able to complete shipments by processing orders.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Loads/unloads trucks and sea cans of interior finishing building materials by forklift. Exercises care and attention to avoid damaging product
  • Safely operates forklifts with carrying capacities up to 10,000 lbs
  • Manually staging lumber/sheet goods orders
  • Picking orders and rolling Formica sheets for easy transport
  • Completes waybills and filling out paperwork accurately
  • Accurately shipping/receiving outgoing/incoming products
  • Properly labels and stages newly received product
  • Cleans and organizes work space
  • Assists during inventory counts
  • Exceptional customer service skills required and good business etiquette 

Requirements and Qualifications: 

  • Minimum 1 year in a warehouse environment is required
  • Valid forklift operator certificate is considered an asset or willing to get trained
  • Intermediate computer experience is an asset but not required
  • Ability to lifting by hand up to 100 lbs is required
  • Regularly required to walk; stand; sit; climb ladders with the ability to kneel, bend, squat, push, pull and reach above and below the waist
  • Self-motivated and driven to continuously improve and add value to the organization
  • Reliability and punctuality is a must
  • Must be entitled to work in Canada
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Excellent numeracy skills required
  • Regular operation hours are Monday-Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm. However, some over time hours may be required

Job Description: We are seeking a dynamic multifaceted Warehouse Associate that is able to switch from different warehouse roles including mixing colors in our lab and general warehouse work. This is a very particular role where the ideal candidate will have a wide array of skills and is able to adapt to constant change. Reporting to the Warehouse Foreman, the warehouse associate has forklift operating experience, some knowledge of coatings mixing colors, and a can-do attitude, ability adapt to change and is able to complete shipments by processing orders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Loads/unloads trucks and sea cans of interior finishing building materials by forklift. Exercises care and attention to avoid damaging product
  • Safely operates forklifts with carrying capacities up to 8,000-10,000 lbs
  • Manually staging lumber/sheet goods orders
  • Picking orders and rolling Formica sheets for easy transport
  • Completes waybills and filling out paperwork accurately
  • Accurately shipping/receiving outgoing/incoming products
  • Properly labels and stages newly received product
  • Cleans and organizes workspace
  • Assists during inventory counts
  • Exceptional customer service skills required and good business etiquette
  • Matching paints and stains to customer specifications
  • Good perception of the color spectrum, and the ability to create formulas in a timely manner using available materials
  • Able to maintain and update Safety Data Sheets, supplier and worksite labels

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Minimum 1 -2 years experience in a warehouse environment combined with coatings and color mixing experience
  • Valid forklift operator certificate is considered an asset or willing to get trained
  • Ability to lifting by hand up to 100 lbs is required
